I recently got the following email from a reader who just started using coupons and jumped right into the drugstore rewards programs:
“I tried your magic tricks at CVS this morning. I had my coupons and my CVS card. I went to the check-out register with butterflies in my stomach. Actually I was quite nervous…like trying to open a school locker for the first time. Ugh! Anyway, the guy was really nice (and patient) as I fumbled through my coupons and Extra Bucks receipts.
The item in the picture cost $63.95 and I paid $29.08. WooHoo!!! So, it worked…I saved money on things that I really needed this week. Thanks so much for being an example to all of us coupon-dummies.” Jen C.
