Food Pantry Donations

Did you know you can give to people in need without it costing you a penny?  Every week you can get FREE items when you match sales with coupons.  Keep a few items for your family’s stockpile and then find a place to donate the extra!

You can also donate your time and talents.  Last year I started volunteering at Central Church of God’s Food Pantry and it has been such a blessing!  The church, in addition to receiving donations from church members, buys three newspapers each week for the coupon inserts. Then, I use savvy shopping to help keep the shelves stocked.

Tomorrow starts “triples” at Harris Teeter for the first time in 14 months!  This means there will be even more freebies than during a regular week.  Would you consider using your coupon talents to help others?  If you’re new you can check out How to Plan For Triples.

Requested Food Pantry items include: dried pasta, jarred pasta sauce, boxed macaroni and cheese, rice, breakfast cereal, granola bars, bottles of 100% juice, canned soups, canned vegetables, canned fruit, canned meats, peanut butter & jelly, paper towels, toilet paper, diapers, baby wipes, toothbrushes and toothpaste for children and adults.

Many of these items are FREE or cheap this week.  Use this link to see a list of sale items and the coupons that match up to plan your shopping trip.  Thank you for using your talents to bless others!

Giving to a food bank is an awesome way to minister to others, even when you don’t have a lot of extra. I picked up a bag of groceries today at Harris Teeter for our food bank, and it was all items that were 0.10 or less each!
